Contact forms
When you submit our contact form or join the Pro waitlist/newsletter, we collect the information you provide — such as your name and email address — so we can respond to your inquiry or send you product updates. We do not sell or rent this information to third parties.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection. After your comment is approved, it appears publicly on the site along with the name you provided.
Media
If you upload images to the site, avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from any images on the site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for your convenience on future comments. These cookies last one year.
If you visit our login/account area, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies; it contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we also set cookies to keep you signed in and remember your display preferences. Login cookies last two days (or two weeks if you select “Remember Me”); screen option cookies last a year.
We also use cookies for basic site functionality and, if enabled, for newsletter/waitlist sign-up confirmation.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this site (such as plugin demos or documentation) may include embedded content — e.g., videos, GitHub gists, or WordPress.org widgets. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the third-party site directly. These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content, including tracking your interaction if you’re logged into their service.
Who we share your data with
- If you request a password reset (for any account-based features), your IP address is included in the reset email.
- We use third-party services to operate the site and communicate with you, including our email/newsletter provider and our hosting provider. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service to us.
- Our open-source plugins are distributed via WordPress.org; installs and reviews there are governed by WordPress.org’s own privacy policy, not ours.
How long we retain your data
- Contact form and newsletter/waitlist submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or until you unsubscribe.
- Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and auto-approve legitimate follow-up comments.
- If you register an account with us (e.g., for future Pro plugin purchases), we store the profile information you provide. You can view, edit, or delete this information at any time, except your username. Site administrators can also see and edit this information.
What rights you have over your data
If you’ve contacted us, subscribed to our newsletter, or left comments, you can request an export of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we erase it. This doesn’t include data we’re legally obligated to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes. To make a request, email info@harikrut.com.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service. Payment information, if introduced later for Pro plugin sales, will be processed by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor and will not be stored on our servers.
